How HODLs Work (What Gets Saved)

A HODL is a complete snapshot of your working state.

Always saved

  • All open tabs (URLs + titles)
  • Scroll position on every page
  • Video timestamp on YouTube, Vimeo, and supported players
  • Selected text / reading progress
  • Active window and monitor layout

Saved with Pro

  • On-device AI tags (intent, topic, next-step guess)
  • Full-text search index
  • Cross-device sync
  • Resume Stack prioritization

Never saved

  • Passwords or form data
  • Content from password-protected pages
  • Anything from incognito/private windows

Where it lives

By default, all data stays on your device. Nothing is uploaded unless you explicitly enable cross-device sync, which uses end-to-end encryption.

Limits

  • Free: 25 HODLs per month
  • Pro / Lifetime: unlimited
